Dutasteride 0.5 mg Monthly Plan

Stop taking dutasteride and talk to your doctor immediately if you have any of the following symptoms:

– Swelling of your lips, face tongue and throat
– Difficulty swallowing
– Lumps under your skin (hives)
– Breathing difficulties

Speak to your doctor promptly if you notice any changes in your breast tissue, such as lumps, pain, or nipple discharge. This could potentially indicate a serious condition, such as breast cancer

You must stop taking dutasteride at least three months prior to trying to conceive. If your sexual partner is or may potentially be pregnant, you should avoid exposing her to your semen which could contain a tiny amount of the drug and may affect the normal development of the baby’s sex organs.

Seek immediate medical attention if you experience any adverse events and report them on a Yellowcard. Some men have reported episodes of depressive illness and in some cases suicidal thoughts with the use of dutasteride. If this occurs, stop taking dutasteride and seek medical attention.

If you have a large amount of residual urine and/or severely reduced urinary flow, please consult your doctor. You should be closely monitored for narrowing of the urinary tract.

If you have impaired liver function, we advise that you do not take dutasteride. Consult a medical professional for further advice.
